Izel Ang
I started beading 8 years ago when I stumbled upon some jewelry making books. Basically a self-taught artist, I developed the interest from beginner level of jewelry making to specialising in wired jewelries.

Throughout the years, the passion grew and with support from families and friends, the passion has grown into a full time.

In 2004, I started my online website and spreading my knowledge by teaching at local community centers, clubs, private functions, corporate companies, beadshops and in private classes. The opportunity to teach others is a daunting task but an exciting one. I am thrilled to show others my skills and hopes to see you in one of my classes soon.

Train-The-Trainer Program-Swarovski 2008
Thursday, August 21, 2008

I was at Swarovski Singapore today to present my master piece for this year's Train-The-Trainer Program. The modules were split into 4 parts and we were given a chance to learn more about new techniques, upcoming crystal trends and new crystal products. At the end of the module, each participant is required to present their work and will thus be certified as one of their Certified Swarovski Instructors.

I was fortunate enough to be certified by Swarovski, and also choosen as one of the participants for their upcoming new book where they will feature inspirations and designs from artisans all over the world. Out of the class of 20, only 6 designs are choosen. Some of the work are really really beautiful, while some are very very innovative and came up with a lot of new ideas. Its a pity that some are left out, as it was such a tough choice deciding among so many outstanding designs whom will be featured.

At the end of the session, we mingled around and took some pictures as well. Its nice to be there, and getting to know a lot of like minded folks. :)

Cheers,
Izel Ang
