Hi All,

ChainofBeads.com will be undergoing a series of re-vamp and will be down for a while.

New exciting changes include :

-Revamp of website
-Private collection of stones will be up for sale

During the meantime, classes will be put on hiatus mode till future notice. If you would to contact me for classes, most probably it will be for December or 2012.

Latest ongoings at Chain of Beads!

Yes, I went hiatus for a long long time!! First, there was a lot of packing to do after I am done with Beads Cage, then there was a long waited holiday that I so look forward to, and there were more packing at home to clear spaces for more family commitments.

I finally got to settle down after such a long time and I realised that I have to pack my beads and work room!! Its in a total mess and I spend lotsa of time sorting my beads! So after the huge sorting, I decided to share some of my goodies with stone lovers!

Being bugged for a long time, I have been hoarding them for years (some of them have been with me since I started Jewerlry making) and I have finally decided to move on. Yes, that means you might be lucky to get some of my RARE collection series!

I have uploaded a batch of 20 types of stones at www.chainofbeads.etsy.com and will continue to do so from now on. As there are really a lot, this will be a long ongoing service that I am offering to all stone lovers. :)

So if you are picking up my classes, you might get a glimpse of them with me and you can purchase directly.

A little bit about my stones :

They are my personal collection that I have gotten over many years, all of them are hand-picked and comes from all over the world. Yep, I am slightly lucky to get the chance to follow my hubby when he travels so I can spend my time at beadshops while he work! So a lot of my stones do not come in huge quantity since they are mainly for my own use. If you see anything that you like and want to own it, either you can pop over to my etsy shop to get it or you can email me.

I can transact at local ATM transfers too if you are not comfortable with paypal or credit cards.

My stone collections will not be available at www.chainofbeads.com at the moment because I will be starting a revamp for my site. So they will only be included when the new site is ready. :)

Hiatus Mode in preparation for the up coming Show!

If you have been wondering what have I been up to recently, I was in a hiatus mode. I am in a hiatus mode away from online because I am busy preparing for my coming up show in July. I will be at Singapore International Jewelry Show 2011, held during 27th to 31st July, at Marina Bay Sands.

Buried under piles and piles of beads and stones, I managed to come up with a handful of new jewelries, ranging from necklaces to rings as part of my preparation.

Here is just one of the necklace that I decided to preview :

New Class-Basic Wirewrap + Herring Bone Weaving

New Hoop Earrings-EG283

This is my first attempt to make a pair of Hoop earring. I love how the end result turns out as the color contrast with the turquoise and gold wires was magnificant. :)

The weaved portion took me while to have them all wired and weaved up, and I attached them onto the hoop, which was textured and hammered. And its really fun to play with because the weaved wired design was originally from the cobra ring tutorial/class that I teaches. I was curious to turn it into something else besides keeping the weaved wire as a ring.

A friend reserved this for herself and I am definitely making more in future!

Changes in Jewelry Making Class Schedule

Dear friends,

Thanks for visiting. I have twit a little bit on the format for my classes to making them available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Weekends.

Classes can start from 12.30pm, 3pm (weekdays and weekends) and 6.30pm (weekdays only).

So if you see any type of classes you are interested, do let me know and I will try to arrange accordingly.
