I started beading 10 years ago when I stumbled upon some jewelry making books. Basically a self-taught artist, I developed the interest from beginner level of jewelry making to specialising in wired jewelries.
Throughout the years, the passion grew and with support from families and friends, the passion has grown into a full time.
In 2004, I started my online website and spreading my knowledge by teaching at local community centers, clubs, private functions, corporate companies, beadshops and in private classes. The opportunity to teach others is a daunting task but an exciting one. I am thrilled to show others my skills and hopes to see you in one of my classes soon.

 Something that I have been wanting to post up for a long time. This timeless needle lace caged design is my new obsession now. I fantasied about making them in different designs, different shapes, with extra beads and even with different colored wires.
It was really fun and I really loved how they turn out to be. :)

 Such a classic piece. Sarah comes in 3 layers with the focus in the centre layer that are wrapped and swirl around in gorgeous lapis lazuli and cultured potato peacock color pearls. August has came to an end and we are entering the last quarter of the year. How time flies, as I still remember we were all happy and excited at the beginning of the year welcoming 2009 and sending away 2008. In a short time, we will be doing the same to 2009 too. 2010 still sounds weird to me.
Nevertheless, 2009 has been pretty smooth sailing for me, especially when it comes to jewelry making classes. For those whom follow through my website or classes, I have settled down with classes at Beads Cage, with classes almost 5 days in a week, 2-3 classes each day. New classes are also available every month keeping both my students happy and my sanity.
The challenging part is, I need to learn a new skill and teach this new skill to others in a short span of time, sometimes only a week. So within this week I need to understand the theory, practice till I am perfect and come up with a project that can present the new skill. Take for example, Wire Mesh Balls as attached picture. This was something that I had procastinate for a long long time, always giving myself excuses that I will learn it, but I never did. However, when it come to new classes, I have deadlines that I need to meet. So this challenges me to learn it within the shortest time. Sounds fun huh??
Ya, it is fun. In fact so fun that I looked back, I gain and mastered a new skill every month, for the past 8 months! So that means, I have already mastered 8 new skills!! Haha...

In this Woven Chain Ring class, we will be playing around with different styles of chains and turn them into a chunky ring with your choice of stones as well. Two choices of chains and a variety of stones will be available and you can walk out of the class wearing both pieces on your fingers!

| Another Ring Class |

Another ring class! I have fallen in love with rings. In the past, I have always admire rings and while I was adding new items to my collection, I always face the same problem. That is getting the right size to fit into my "super skinny spider" fingers.
A lot of times I like one design, but always ended with disappointment as the shop does not carry my size. When I am shopping locally, it is still okay because I can get the size that I want and come back to collect days later. But there are dozen of times I was oversea and could not afford to wait for the order to come through and walked away in disappointment.
So I pick up ring making. When I was already into jewelry making, but I know that making rings is another challenging step that I have to make if I want to make my own rings. Getting to know the "how to", making senses with the steps and also knowing that there are different skills and ways to make rings, I started with Nested Wire Ring. Its pretty fun when the project is more free-formed, and I can coil around the stone/bead, but recently I have also moved into another type of ring making that focuses more on forming the band with chains.
This skill seems more tricky because if you don't pull tight enough, your end result may become loose and alter the size of the ring. But still, I am having fun with them till now. While I still want to challenge myself with more types of different ways of making rings, I am already pretty proud of myself as of now, because I can now make my own rings, choose my stones and also teach others whom are interested to learn. :)

Upon notice, you will be request to post the jewelry back to get it repaired. Once it is done, I will post it back to you, at no extra cost.
